Fans who will watch the races trackside at Circuito San Juan Villicum today will have the chance to win a Kawasaki Ninja!

Organizing company Grupo OSD together with new Kawasaki importer for Argentina Corven Motors are pleased to announce big news to all WorldSBK enthusiasts attending Round 12 of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. Today, 13th October 2019, when WorldSBK race action will be over this afternoon, a prize draw will be held among the spectators holding their valid entrance ticket. Fans will be able to win a Kawasaki Ninja similar to Jonathan Rea’s. Terms and conditions will be communicated through the official social media channels. The drawing will begin at 5:30 PM LT at the Circuit.

Following official communication by Grupo OSD, organizer of the WorldSBK Argentinean Round, the organizer Grupo OSD would like to clarify that the decision taken by those six riders to not take part in WorldSBK Race 1 on Saturday, goes against the ideals of the company, such as being able to deliver the best show possible to all fans. The objective is to promote these values and good sportsmanship.

Yesterday certain riders decided to not take part in the competition due to the weather conditions that affected the state of the track surface (high temperatures). This was witnessed by the Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Infrastructure of San Juan.

Seeing the result of the race that took place as normal, and that saw local hero Leandro Tati Mercado (Orelac Racing VerdNatura) taking part. In the first 12 laps Alvaro Bautista (ARUBA.IT Ducati – Racing) and Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) fought against each other, and with no major incidence on track throughout the race, Grupo OSD considers that there might have been possible inaccurate speculation from those six riders, whose lack of participation does not follow the true essence of motorsports in front of all the fans around the world.

San Juan El Villicum Circuit has the FIM grade B homologation, one of the highest standards granted by the International Motorcycling Federation to the race tracks ready to host worldwide events. This homologation was renewed for one more year on Thursday, 10th October, after a track inspection.
